How I Work

Water hemlock goes through the process of photosynthesis, which means it takes sunlight and converts it into energy. It reproduces sexually via seeds and seed distribution via the wind and pollinators. The water hemlock is a multicellular organism with many different parts. It takes in nutrients from the soil and it goes into the roots. It excretes any excess from the stomatal pores. In the first year of its life cycle , it makes seedlings, then in the 2nd year it makes flowers which usually bloom in June or July. Eating it is deadly because of the poison released and spraying pesticides will kill it.
